My experience designing and leading trainings spans various audiences and topics. My definition of training includes education, persuasion, coaching, and listening. I believe in meeting people where they are at and leading with lived experience stories, data, and a curiosity to hear where others have thrived and where they are stuck. My professional career in public health taught me that we must meet people where they are to move them forward. This philosophy continues to guide my way.
Topics include:
LGBTQ+ youth: Health disparities and supportive best practices
Creating a supportive workplace for transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming colleagues
The Community Readiness Model: Applying a simple model to complex challenges
From an hour to a couple of days, let's work together to customize what you need. I have supported audiences from under 10 to over 500 people. Please use the Contact page to reach out.
Here is what others have said about my work:
Molly has worked with the City of Madison on a multi-phase instructional design project as our main design consultant and absolutely transformed the curriculum to incorporate principles of gender inclusion into existing HR training activities. Most importantly Molly showed tremendous sensitivity to her role, the work previously completed by Subject Matter Experts, and the very real challenges of limited resources in the public sector. She is a great collaborator, a skilled communicator, and a voice for intentional and meaningful inclusion in our communities. I can’t wait to see how this programming improves the City of Madison, as a place to live and work, for gender non-conforming, trans, non-binary and genderqueer people.
--Lindsay Bessick, MA, Program Manager, Organizational Development
I have had the pleasure of attending a presentation Molly gave to Iowa foster/adoptive parents and have benefitted from her consultation skills in my private psychological practice. She is an engaging and approachable presenter who gives valuable information in a very user-friendly way. Her consultation has improved my therapeutic relationships with LGBTQIA+ clients by helping me use more inclusive language in my paperwork and conversations and even being intentional about how I decorate my office. She is helpful and supportive, giving specific suggestions. She is never judgmental regardless of where you are at in your learning curve.
